We visited a small area of Dartmoor ,we went to Haytor to see the rocks.and the wild ponies came down ,so we had a good view of them They roam free on the moors,they all belong to different pony keepers,they round them up each year in the Autumn,then decide which poniesto keep on moor and which to sell.The foals are usually weaned from their mothers at this time. Today saturday we went to the area they call the Barbican,its the name given to the western and northern sides of Sutton harbour of Plymouth in Devon,it was one of the few parts of the city to escape most of the destruction of the Blitz during the Second World War. The Barbican has the largest concentration of cobbled streets in Britain and contains 100 listed buildings. We hopped on a harbour cruise for 1 hour,across the Plymouth sound ,flanked by the beautiful Devon and Cornish coast,passing Plymouth Hoe,the famous Drakes island and heading for the river Tamar where the mighty warships and nuclear submarines
