So, we generally do not book a head on camping and today is an example of why. We booked ahead, had a long drive pulling a travel trailer, got caught in traffic delay, had a tire blow on the interstate, had difficulty fitting into a spot for gas since people in cars just cut in front of where you are heading leaving you to get back on the interstate and go up another exit, and Friday rush hour traffic was up to par. We arrived at 8:30, I worked, Daisy made dinner, and then I tried to go to bed but I have a cold and laying down and sleeping was an issue. So, we slept in a bit and took it easy. We went to a local Goodwill, Walmart, and picked up pizza. After eating we enjoyed some of what Walkabout Camp & RV had to offer. Nate loves to pet goats and they not only had goats, but baby goats kids so he was thrilled. They baby goats were soft to touch, loved to climb, and fight over attention. The chickens chased you about the campground like they runed the place. The billy goat had his own enclosure because he was to mean. The horse was very shy, and the pigs were sleepy. We took Chloe and Mandy to the dog park for a little free running, but it was hot, and they are inside dogs that wanted to go back to the RV. We should have made time for the pool, but we did not. We only had a short drive to Beverly Beach Camptown on Sunday morning. So, we got there right at check in with no time wasted. I am glad we did because it rained quite a bit the following day. The first day we took Chloe to the beach to run free, but there were no little birds this day for her to chase as she does. Not that she would ever hurt or catch one she thinks she is playing like she does when she chases our other doggy Mandy. We sat outside most of the day to take in the peacefulness of the beach. The following day it rained; I was able to get Daisy to let me enjoy her bed area for some time since she has wrap around windows facing the back of the trailer/the beach. Once the rain stopped, I took Chloe to the beach again, to my surprise the rain was not finished. Chloe wanted to hide under a boardwalk, but it was not tall enough for me, so I coaxed her out and we got soaked heading back to the RV. Once the rain finally stopped for the day Daisy and I went to the beach to play in the waves. We finally got Nate down and play too. After some time, Daisy had enough of the salt water in her eyes and decided we should go back to the trailer and bath the doggies. Nate was having so much fun I dont think he noticed that we left. I bathed, Daisy bathed, we bathed Mandy, and he was still playing on the beach. When he finally came up, we got him to bath Chloe. We relaxed and enjoyed the breezy evening at the beach.
