Today into port on Bornholm, Denmark. Bornholm is an island that is closer to Sweden, Germany and Poland that it is to Denmark, but its part of Denmark???? Our ship docks outside of Ronne, the main city of the island. Now you can tell this is not a normal place for the ships but since they dropped St Petersburg, Finland and Tallin, they added some extra stops. Look at the pictures where I ship docked. You had to take a shuttle into town which we did early. We took the 9:30 bus in and the 10:00 bus back and we had plenty of time. The 2 main attractions are the church and the light house. We even had extra time and did lots of shadow pictures.
An hour or so later we took the included tour of the island. We saw a castle ruin, a round church, the Swedish houses (Sweden game them to the island after the war) and a windmill. The bus trip took us about 2 hours.
We came back and I discovered that Picard was on the TV here and I could have been watching it while I was in quarantine.
Oh well, I started it. They have still not kicked us out of our separate rooms, we even asked and so did our room steward. We went to the astronomy talk that was centered on the Vikings. Tom and I had just watched a Viking episode that discussed how they were going to navigate. Well, guess what they showed, yep, the same 2 minute portion describing it.
Dinner was a treat. We at in the restaurant, but the fun thing was our waiter was the one we talked on the phone with everyday when we ordered our quarantine room service. He recognized our names and was so happy to meet us in person.
