Off we head on the train (AUD102 prebooked) to the Cinque Terre with a stop at the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Getting on the train was the most difficult as we didnt know if we had to get our tickets validated. Started to worry, but its too easy if youre tickets are pre purchased. Just walk on through and find the platform. We get off at Pisa (yay – the correct stop) and head to the Leaning Tower. Dumped our baggage at the station drop point (€20) and headed off, quite a walk but glad we went and saw it, we were so close. Its really quite cool to see. Heaps of photos.yes you have to push it over in a photo. Head back to the train and were hungry, quick stop for morning tea, and then we find Maccas. Who would have thought, but yes, we pigged out on Maccas (€15). Missed our train, but caught the next one. You have a 4 hour window to get back on. last of the main street. Shame theres no view, but charming little town. Train is 2 minutes away (everything is no more than 5 mins away). We explore, and drink, wines getting cheaper, thats exciting, ok maybe another drink or two. Still great weather and lots of people. Bought the day pass for the Cinque terre hike tomorrow (€30). Tiniest little supermarket, okay maybe deli is a better word. Dinner in.
