As Happy Wanderers, we continue our rotation visiting and staying with our generous and thoughtful children. Thank you, dear children. Fortunately, we didnt stop at having one child (like me) because that one child would have been burnt out by now with our constant presence and would be signing us up for the local nursing home. With all of our doctor visits...maybe that is where we need to be. Nooooooo. Lulu said shes not ready for the home, yet. Shes way too spry.
On July 4th, we were at our son, Corys, house. The evening before, he and Penny had a wonderful campfire for us to enjoy in the beautiful surroundings of his home. On the holiday, they had a 4th of July celebration. Many of our family were there as well as Pennys family. We had tons of delicious food to ooh and aah over and then devour. Corn hole was a popular game for many....just like at Tropical Palms. Cory and our grandson, Travis, did some kayaking in the pond. ??Rollin, Roll‘in Down the River ??. The culmination of the party was a spectacular fireworks show put on by Cory. He really outdid himself. I thought I was
at Disneyworld again. Glistening sparkles and horrendous bangs. They were fabulous. Memories made. Thank you Cory & Penny.
We moved on to our daughter, Kims, home. Of course, we enjoyed ourselves around their pool. Always delicious food to eat. Conner and Tim joined us to make it a real family time. They prepared a lovely guest room and we are thrilled to be the first ones to enjoy it. bed. I almost think I am back in our RV with our best in the world mattress. Thank you, Kim & Jim.
Corys sister, Gwen, and Bob demonstrated their kind and generous and thoughtful ways again....some of their many glorious attributes. They drove up from Clearfield, PA. to our polebarn in Shongo. They brought one of their kayaks to give to our grandson, Travis. They are the best! Cheers to Gwen & Bob. After Travis floated in a kayak on Corys pond, he got the bug. ?? Rollin, Roll‘in Down the River ??. He drove to our polebarn from Rochester. He was thrilled with their generous gift. Cory drove down from Rochester, also. I was feeling under the weather so missed this memorable moment. Lory came
over to see everyone. Much to celebrate on this day.....the biggest & best celebration was Gwens Birthday. Yes, she came to our polebarn on her birthday! What a great person she is. Everyone loves her. Happy, Happy Birthday Gwen. Thank you Gwen & Bob.
On another day, Cory and I made it down together to our polebarn. Our wonderful grandson, Alan, arranged to get our golf cart up and running again. We took a memory ride back along the old WAG (railroad) trail that follows the Genesee River. For so many years, we have walked this trail, yes...walked and cross country skied it a million times, appreciating the beautiful nature that surrounds us. Lulu was happy with our visits. She even found Baby Jesus to ride with her as well as sit in a lawn chair wheel chair.
During this visit, we were staying at our daughter, Lorys, house. We appreciate that her house provides us with the closest proximity to our doctors and the polebarn. She enjoys her plants. Im showing you just one of her huge, thriving monster plants. She is a big time collector.....where did she inherit that?? Im showing you just a minuscule part
of a few of her collections. She collects cows plus other items as you can see. Thank you Lory & Jay.....and Al.
Celebration time: we drove to Rochester to celebrate our daughter, Kims birthday.....July 19th. Jim took all of us out to the Texas Roadhouse. It was a fun and festive day. Happy Birthday, Kim! You deserve only true happiness for all the kindness you do for others. Thank you, Jim.
Always on this weekend, Wellsville has their famous Balloon Rally. Because of it was cancelled this year. But a few local balloonist showed up to give the folks an awesome display.
On our way to Rochester, Cory squealed our car to a halting stop. Lulu almost flipped out of her car seat.
