Sunday: Theresa was still in town we drove around town and checked out some local spots- downtown Greer with a Posada market. Then we looked at some real estate- a historic fabric mill turned into apartments and a tiny As much as Ive been interested in tiny homes and Ive seen a few empty homes at shows Id never seen of them and it was sooo cute! Tuesday: Saw a Cirque du Soleil show called Holidaze. It was cute and there were a few impressive acts but there were honestly at least a dozen bad mess ups like falling or dropping things which made it not so great overall. Thursday: Went back to Gather GVL- the restaurants in converted containers. Nice guitar duo singing christmas music. Friday: A nice morning walk around Reedy Park again. In the afternoon Copper and I explored Ceasars Head State Park and hiked to a distant view of the tallest waterfall in South Carolina. This is the southern part of the Appalachian Mountains and there was a gorgeous sunset at the end of our hike from the visit center viewpoint. trip to Congaree National Park. Not a famous or particularly large national park but it was still a nice hike in a winter forest. Its a swamp so when I say Hike the only place with any elevation change is when you get on and off of the board walk or when you cross over a bridge. The whole park doesnt change elevation more than a foot and even a few inches changes the dept of the water and what grows there. Overall we did 7.5 miles and that was basically the entirety of hiking in the park. Lots of people like to kayak around the swamp. I was also very glad to visit in the winter when there arent snakes or mosquitoes!!!
