Sunny morning but we headed off into a strong southerly wind of 25mph which I initially was ok as it was broadside for the first 20km along the northern coast past Ballycastle. I dont like wind, unless it is behind. Oh dear! We turned south and found out the true ferocity of the cyclists worst enemy. Not only that but the hills were something out of a ski catalogue which had me walking four times Read on...
The big day had finally arrived. After postponing our ride numerous times due to the pandemic we were finally ready to depart. A late change of plan had us leaving around lunchtime from Fairfield rather than 8am from Docklands and I was feeling excited about starting the journey on my bike from my front door, no flying or driving anywhere, straight into it.
I remember stating on one of our previo Read on...
VERY breezy today but we stayed dry. Today we did a loop of the local villages, Mitton, Whalley, Wiswell, Pendleton, Worston, Downham, Chatburn, West Bradford, Waddington and Bashal Barn. I thought I was going to end up in a field with several strong cross winds!

And we are off again! Another mini adventure, this time along the South West Coast Path. Only being a 4 day trip we decided to bnb along the way, which means no tent or cooking equipment and food, which more importantly means, a lighter backpack!
So, with just a few bits of light clothing, wet weather gear and a couple of walking safety essentials, we headed back to Plymouth rail station to catch Read on...

Well it is a lovely day out there today and we have decided to go to Bamburgh first in the Motorhome. Mike drove and we had a stroll along the beach and had as everyone does a nice cup of tea or coffee if you are Mike. We found that you could stay with a Motorhome or Campervan in the car park overnight for £12 overlooking the magnificent castle. This is not bad if you can get in at the Lobster Po Read on...
