The hotel is really nice, but somehow the just sucks. It worked perfectly yesterday afternoon when we arrived, but nobody has been able to logon since yesterday. Looks like Ill be uploading late on the bus again tomorrow. That worked out fine this Read on...
The legendary sage Vilvamangalathu Swamiyar was a great devotee of Vishnu. After several years of meditation, Lord Vishnu appeared in front of him as a small boy. The sage loved the child immensely and requested him to stay with him in the hermitage forever. The child agreed but mentioned that if the hermit failed to treat him with respect, the child would vanish. One day, when the sage was in de Read on...

Today we head south to Eighty Mile Beach which is a hundred or so kilometres south of Broome where the Great Sandy Desert meets the Indian Ocean. It seems that there are a few different ways to spell the name of our destination - the way Ive spelt it, or Beach, or even Beach. Im not too sure why theyre so concerned about the spellings when its not really even 80 miles long; apparently its actual Read on...
We had a very long drive yesterday. We enjoyed our drive through Yellowstone on the way out, and our drive through the southern part of Idaho was also gorgeous. Once we crossed into Utah, the scenery started to change from forested mountains to arid landscape. It got very hot. Surprisingly, the highways were extremely busy in Utah as well. There were many cars on the road with a high speed limit ( Read on...
Yoghurt with raspberries and nuts, then pancakes started the day. The forecast was for hot and sunny again so I left my chaps and sweater behind as I rode away from camp toward the mining town of Elkford. Its at the end of paved road although there does appear to be a gravel continuation for logging or perhaps another mine. There is a coal mine or maybe many in the area. Coal for making steel acco Read on...
Arkaroola features many unique geological monuments, rugged mountains, towering granite peaks, magnificent gorges, and mysterious waterholes, and as I write this, very sore in many parts of my body, I am well pleased in the fact that Jane and I conquered one of the towering granite peaks (347m), by slogging it up and then down one of those rugged mountains to reach the summit of Acacia Ridge. The Read on...
We decided to take the motorhome out for a few days to check everything was working okay before we ventured overseas to meet up with over 40 Carthago motorhome owners in Denmark. So yesterday we arrive at a nice quiet site called River Breamish which is near Alnwick. Well when I asked where the site was Mike insisted it was in Beamish and we could visit the Beamish museum, so as you can tell mine Read on...
Well I am back after a few days away from blogging. As we had a couple of days not doing activities apart from we hired electric bikes to go on a cycle ride with the rest of the group. We picked the bikes up and decided just to take them for a spin before the ride with the group. This was a great idea as going up a hill with a camber I fell off - so that put paid to me going out with the group - I Read on...
Unless you are a golfer or cyclist, you probably never thought about shipping your equipment ahead to your destination. Shipping golf clubs, to far off places like Scotland, Spain, or even Hawaii is a lifesaver, particularly when I have other stops along the way. It was a real pain to carry our clubs through downtown London before heading up to Scotland for a week of golf. The same is true for cyc Read on...
