Our adventure started our after a very busy Saturday for me.family reunion at my house, St Marys Community Band concert in Paden City, late night trip to Pittsburgh airport! Our driver was Terry Wilson and the navigator was Shealyns husband, Kyle Sandy. Kyle had his phone settings on avoid tolls, so we had able interesting ride on a country road much like Sellers Road. We had several laughs with Terry complaining,
My niece, Jennifer Hedrick Moore, has spoiled me for Pittsburgh hotel stays..she took me to the Hyatt which is attached to the airport. It is so convenient!
So our first night was at the Pittsburgh Hyatt, where we had an excellent breakfast buffet the next morning. Then is was off to the airport for a 12:30 flight to JFKor so we thought. We went to the airport at 9:00 am. Our flight got delayed until 3:00 pmlights in the cabin werent working properly. The part from Atlanta. No problem! We had plenty of time to make our 8:00 flight to London. We bided our time.
I received another alert. Our flight was being delayed till 5:00 pm. We decided we should do something. We went to the counter and they put us on a different flight leaving at 4:50. Wed have plenty of time that is until we got stuck at JFK on the tarmac for over an hour. We got off the plane at 7:25. Our flight was boarding and the gate was closing at 7:50. We all three started running. Marsha even took off her sandals. We had to cover 19 gates.a long, long way. We made it and boarded at 7:55. The flight was slightly delayed. We settled in for our 7 hour flight and hopes of a better day tomorrow
