Dit is wat er nog over is van het kasteel van La Buissiere. De rest, althans wat er nog van overeind stond, is in 1964 door de overheid gesloopt. Deze toren is van de 15e eeuw. This is what is left of the castle of La Buissiere. The rest, or at least what was still standing, was demolished by the government in 1964. This ‘donjon is from the 15th century.
Elly voelde zich gisteren niet zo lekker en daarom besloten we hier nog een extra rustdag te houden. Het ging vandaag al beter en zijn we een beetje in de lokale historie gedoken, zie de fotos. Maar we hebben gisteren en vandaag ook flink, op de televisie, de Tour de France gevolgd die deze dagen door deze streek kwam. Morgen gaan we weer op pad.
Elly was a bit off colour yesterday and that made us decide to have an extra rest day here. Today she already felt a bit better and we went out to dive a bit into the local history, see the photos. But we also spent quite some time watching, on TV, yesterdays and todays stages of the Tour de France, as they through this part of France. We are back on the road tomorrow!
