So we ended our day dragging out luggage (did I say weve been gone for 25 days?) to our bnb for last evening. So we started our day today doing the same thing.dragging out luggage from last nights bnb to the one we have for the next two days. We laughed as we saw people out for their morning walk with their dogs or their children or even their significant other and we were walking our luggage.
When we arrived at the Elimination Bank Guesthouse the owner met us and carried our luggage up the steps. Since we couldnt check in until later in the day, he kept our luggage, gave us some tips on how to spend the day, and promised to carry everything to our room..on the third floor!!!! These people are wonderful!!
Everyday that weve been on this trip weve had a full English breakfasteggs, beans, bacon, sausage, toast, tomatoes..all of which we were getting tired of. So we set off to find a restaurant that offered something different. We found it!! Shealyn and I ordered waffles with fruit sauce and maple syrup. Marsha had eggs Benedict. It was so delicious!!!
explore the town. This is the area called the Lake District where Beatrix Potter made her home, purchased much land and protected it from future development. It is a beautiful area with tons of quaint shops and restaurants in quaint houses and buildings. It was so much fun. Later in the afternoon we had tea at a tea shop.
We returned to our bnb for some relaxing time before we headed out to the movie Where The Crawdads Sing. It was a quaint theater. Sadly we were in theater 2..Id like to have seen the main theater.perhaps tomorrow night!! There was and intermission where they came around and sold ice cream!! We loved it!!
