Well, weve embraced the beach lifestyle and are sleeping in and taking it easy. Were letting the kids sleep in and Anne and I went for coffee again. The local market has a coffee shop in the back and she makes a good cappuccino for Anne and an Americano for me. Just what weve been looking for. We usually take 2!
After our coffee, we walked around checking out the local restaurants and shops and then went down to the beach area we went to at night. It different seeing it during the day. We walked out on the cliffs and took some pictures. Its funny how getting older makes you nervous about stuff like that, especially when you see your kids do it. We then walked back to our place and found a daycare and school with live chickens for the kids- to play with? Feed? Get eggs from? All the above?
Time for parasailing! We drove back to the marina in Albufeira and got on the boat. There were a few other groups with us and of course they told Anne and I thst wed go first. On one hand it was.good.because wed be guaranteed to
get our turn but on the other hand its nice to see someone else do it first, and make sure nothing will break! Anyways, we went up and it was pretty cool to be so high up hust hanging there. It was a great view of the cliffs and nearby towns, and of course the vast ocean. When they started bringing us in the dunked us, or tried to at first, only getting ourr toes wet, but we went in uoto the waist on the second one. It was refreshing but also a bit nerve racking because I wasnt aure how deep theyd plunge us. It was.all good though and they lifted us out and brought us in. The kids went after us amd it was fun to watch their reactions asnthey went up into the sky and got dunked. I think the driver went easy on them though!
After everyones turn they brought us in close to shore and showed us some caves. There was one that they called the hidden cave adnit dissapears furing high tide and you can pass through it during low tide. We also passed by the intimate beach we went swimming at the day
before, cool to see it from another perspective. After getting back they showed us our pictures and of course we had to get them.
We were all hungry so we were looking for a restaurant and settled on sushi. Mmm....it was a good choice. Camille had teriyaki salmon and Anne, Cameron and I shared a chefs choice of 50 rolls. There were some we were ised to and others a bit different with slices of lime, or mini quail eggs, but they were all so good.
