We ubered out to Flushing Meadows which was a whole experience in itself. The driver was an expert in cutting off trucks and buses to push in the traffic. It was heart attack material.
We got to see Andy Murray win his match, watched Simona Halep get beaten by a qualifier and Madison Keys win her match. It was a long hot day again and we mostly managed to stay out of the sun. We got around to a couple of outside courts and to the practice courts but the crowds were over the top and you couldnt really see much.
Got the subway back to the hotel which is what we should have done this morning but we were told it was a 30 minute walk. It wasnt, it was only 10 minutes and so much easier as the subway got us back to our station without having to change trains.
Showered and changed and went to a pub around the corner for a quick dinner and back to our hotel for last drinks and saying goodbye to our wonderful friends.
