After breakfast we started out on a medium difficult hike into Emma Gorge (named after the daughter of the original Durack Family who settled in the region).
The hike was over large stones and boulders, and at times we were on all fours. At the end of the hike we were rewarded with a pool of water below a waterfall on the cliff face. We took the opportunity to have a swim in the very chilly water. This was a beautiful oasis surrounded by greenery and cliffs.
Our next stop was Zebedee Springs. Here we had a short walk to the soothing warm spring water surrounded by an isolated tropical forest. We indulged ourselves in the waters for about a half hour before heading to our at Home Valley Station, one of the many large pastoral stations in this part of Australia. Some are the size of small European countries.
