First attraction there, is Hopewell Cape, a place where you can witness these tides, and the beautiful effect of erosion. Some of the structures are called flower pots because of a few trees on top of very high slim rock pillars. This is a must in in the region and is really impressive. You need to check the tides schedule before to make sure to be able to walk on the beach. But do stay as well as high tide, to see the difference in water levels, as well as the speed of rising tides.
Next stop was Fundy national park, a beautiful mix of forest, cliffs, sea, lots of trails and wildlife. Its a very popular place, during week days to avoid crowds. The road along the coast is very scenic. My was in a small village called Shepody. It was a bit worn out, At the entrance of the park, the small town of Alma, has much more personality and boutiques of all kinds. I came back to
my hotel, taking the small 915 coastal road. A very beautiful and impressive spot on the coast is Cap enrage, (litt: enraged Cape). The view from the top of the cliff, with lighthouse in the backgound, is simply stunning.
Finally, we came back, using main highway 2, the road that goes along Fredericton, and then goes North, following river. Very pleasant road.
