We had a wonderful visit with Carlos, Begonia and their daughter Camilla in Cervantes. They gave us a memorable concert with Carlos playing the hurdy gurdy instrument, singing a traditional Galician song in his workshop. ( I posted a video on Facebook. In the video, I see such love and joy as they sing.) Then they drove us up to the top of a nearby hill for a beautiful sunset. How I love those travel memories! Then a lovely walk to Ponteverde, arriving just before the rains. Ponteverde is a great 12th century medieval town. And we are staying in the historical section with lots of narrow streets with cafes and restaurants and churches! Rumor has it. Christopher Columbus was from here. It has rained off and on today and will probably continue tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a long day to Caldas de reis 21km. Then @ 45km to Santiago!! It truly has been a great adventure!
