On my trip to South Africa I had to go on a Safari. I flew into Cape Town and booked a two day tour to explore some of the Western Cape wildlife. It was a beautiful drive down to Mosel Bay, where we stopped for coffee and then further to the first national park. Here we joined a game drive around the area. The animals were quite shy that day, we did however ended up seeing some female lions chilling in the bushes and a white rhino. For the night we were put up at a lodge and for dinner I tried an Ostrich burger for the first time, very interesting taste. Our host put on a little fire and we roasted some marshmallows. The next day we visited another reserve called Buffelsdrift . The first thing we did was to visit the elephants. I was a bit scared being hugged by an elephant at first, but quickly got to enjoy it. This game drive was a bit longer then the first one and we saw a lot more animals. A couple of giraffes passed our way and came very close to the jeep. A lot of wilder beast and springboks roamed the area as well and we got to spot some zebras. The views of the park were absolutely spectacular. Taking a safari is a must when you visit South Africa. Its such a beautiful country and I will back here.
