Too much driving today. Nearly 700kms. Road surfaces varied from smooth gravel, very dusty surfaces, rough stone, narrow one lane bitumen, bitumen wide enough for two vehicles to pass but with no shoulder. This was surprising for us as Mt Isa is a major town in Qld. There were more Floodways, creeks (mainly dry) and river crossings (also mainly dry or with pooled water), than on any other road tr Read on...

We did the trekking course on Dollis Valley Greenwalk from Whetstone to Mill Hill East on 11th May and found its northern route course – we decided to do the latter course on 31st May. One thing I did not mention in my previous blog the WC are mixed - yes mixed - and there are no toilet seats, however, at least they were not just foot wells with a long drop! It was a quiet day so we decided to go into Orleans which was a bit of a walk and then a tram into the centre - which was nice using different transport. We found the cathedral in the centre and it looked splendid with all Read on...

Yay – how wonderful, and I feel truly blessed to have been able to do this. Whilst Great Britain is certainly a beautiful island, and I have very much enjoyed exploring more of it these last two years due to the circumstances, it is still an island, and for a trave Read on...
Today we‘ll be taking the three plus hour drive south east from here in Canmore to Lethbridge where Emma and Michael live. Its a regular zoo out on the road. We start off on the Trans Canada Highway, which, as the name suggests, goes right across the country and is one of the worlds longest roads. This isnt enough however to stop deer appearing at random in front of trucks herbing along at 110 Read on...
