But at the present time the most exciting news is that we are going to leave NZ for a few weeks to travel to Norway once again, to see our family after not being able to travel since October 2019 due to Govid. So excited to Read on...
We had a lovely breakfast then joined the bus after filling our bottles with water. The Mirage had a filling station with sparkling, cold or warm water. I filled my bottle with sparkling which caused much laughter when I opened it later and it went pop!! I was asked if I had champagne in it. Unfortunately NO. What an adventure we had today. First stop was at Woolies again to pick up some more lunch ingredients and then we headed over to Coffin Bay NP for the day. We drove straight through the town of Coffin Bay and into the national park which may have been a mistake as there are no toilets near the entrance to the park and the toilets at Almonta Beach were not accessible due to renovation works! The Kiwi House at Otorohanga is popular, particularly with overseas visitors, because of the opportunity to see kiwi. But for me, the best thing about visiting the Kiwi House is being able to see tuatara. For those who arent familiar with our tuatara, they are reptiles which look lizards. However, they are the last members of the order Rhynchocephalia and are endemic to NZ. They predate the dinos Read on...
