We travelled to Trieste on Good Friday and its now the end of week three and have left Florence for Sorrento. After four city sightseeing stays, Trieste was time for a bit of R&R and it certainly did that. I had booked a room in Villa Tergeste in Miramare about 8km from the city. It is a grand old villa which till was a hostel, the owners, Sandra and Giovanni, decided to move into a different mar Read on...
We had a list of things that we could do in the 3 nights and 2 1/2 days at the hotel and got through almost all of it in the first day! The kids could hardly hold back their excitement as they gobbled up breakfast in the room of cereal, bananas, and yogurt. Vivian knows to put on her floaties and used her sisters help to buckle it to look adorable walking around and ready to jump in the water. We Read on...

I think she might have sat up quite a few times; I hope she doesnt have concussion. I wonder if shell remember who I am. Given that I snuck outside to knock on our window last night after telling her that the hotel was haunted, it might be better if she d Read on...
I really enjoyed staying for 3 nights in Pisa, and after all the social life back in the hostel over Christmas and New Year, but also travel restrictions, it was great to get away from the city. It was also nice and necessary too to escape from my routine or what had a or at best, a very loose routine with strong emotions regularly sending me off track, resulting from everyday interactions from m Read on...
It is Wednesday - Hump Day. Middle of the week. Halfway between Monday and Friday . I have called it all those things over time. Today is work day . As is usual for me, I set off early some and dawn photographs. I walked to the Brandenburg Gate, which is fantastic to see, although the sky was not what I had hoped for. I got some photos nonetheless.

A week ago, we did just that along with close friends, Brett and Lorraine Wilson Jones, when we left the confines of our homes for the first time in weeks and headed for the Schotia S Read on...
